Block Contacts on imo Using Android Phone

1. Open the imo app on your Android phone or tablet
2. Once you are in imo, click on the Chats tab in the top menu of your screen (See the image below)
NOTE: You can also click on the Contacts Tab to select the contact you wish to block.
3. On the Chats screen you can tap on the chat of the person whom you would like to block imo
4. Once the Chat opens , tap the name of the contact located in the upper left corner of your screen (See the image below)
5. On the next screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and then select Block. (See the image below)
6. On the pop-up that pops up, tap”Yes” to affirm that you wish to block this contact via the basis of
The person you blocked will become part of the banned persons list on your IMO account.
Block Contacts on imo Using iPhone
The method to block Contacts using Imo for iPhones and iPads differs when compared the blocking of Contacts from Android devices.
1. Open imo on your iPhone or iPad
2. Once you are in imo, click on the Chats tab at the lower left corner of your screen (See the image below)
NOTE: You can also open the Contacts tab and find the Contact you would like to block.
3. Next, tap on the Chat of the Person whom you wish to disable on your imo.
4. On the Chat screen, tap the Contacts Name at the top left corner on your screen (See the image below)
5. On the next screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and then click on the delete option (See below for an example)
NOTE: Tapping on the delete option won’t remove the contact of your contacts list on the Contacts App on iPhone However, it will delete the contact from your Imo.
6. On the pop-up that appears, click on the Yes button for confirmation that you intend to delete this contact from your imo.
7. Next, you will be presented with the option for blocking this Contact Tap on the Block button (See the image below)
8. On the pop-up that appears, tap the Yes button in order to verify that you wish to stop the Contact to imo.
What Happens When You Block Someone on imo
It is simple to block people from imo, it is important to be aware of what occurs when you ban people on imo.
1. Blocked Contact will be able text you. However, messages sent by the blocked Contact won’t be sent to your phone , and you won’t be able see their text messages.
2. Blocked Contact will never be able contact you. If blocked contacts attempt to contact you, they’ll receive an error message stating that you’re not logged in Imo.
3. Similarly, you are unable to call or send text messages to the blocked contact.
